As another exciting lacrosse season comes to a close, the Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council (GELC) is proud to host the 2026 Year-End Jamboree for our U7 and U9 divisions on June 13-14.
This special weekend marks the final games of the season for our youngest athletes and provides an opportunity to celebrate all they have accomplished over the past several months. Players from across the GELC community will come together for a weekend filled with fun, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a shared love of the game.
For many players, the Year-End Jamboree is more than just a tournament. It is a chance to showcase the skills they have developed throughout the season, create lasting memories with teammates, and enjoy one final weekend of competition before the summer begins.
The U7 and U9 divisions represent the foundation of our sport. Throughout the season, these young athletes have learned the importance of teamwork, respect, perseverance, and community. From their first practices to their final games, players have continued to grow both on and off the floor.
The Year-End Jamboree also serves as a celebration of the coaches, volunteers, officials, and families who make the season possible. Their dedication, encouragement, and countless hours of support help create a positive environment where young athletes can learn, compete, and have fun.
As teams take the floor this weekend, we encourage everyone to cheer loudly, support all players, and enjoy the excitement of grassroots lacrosse at its finest.
Good luck to all participating teams, and congratulations to every U7 and U9 player on a fantastic season. We look forward to celebrating your achievements throughout the weekend and can't wait to see all the smiles, hustle, and memorable moments that make lacrosse such a special sport.
See you at the Year-End Jamboree!
