Season Kickoff, Digital Game Sheets + Reminders

Hello Wizards Families!

We hope you’re all doing well, and have enjoyed your first few practices with your Coaches and team!

As we head into a busy stretch of the season, we have a few important housekeeping items and reminders to keep everyone informed and game-ready!

Season Kick-Off This Weekend (U9 + U11)

We’re excited to see our U9 and U11 teams hit the floor this weekend! Please note that there are some new rules in place this season.

We also want to highlight that many officials (ie. Referees) will be new this year, especially early in the season. We ask all families to show patience and respect as they get up to speed. A positive environment makes a big difference for everyone involved.

Digital Game Sheets (New This Season!)

All game sheets will be 100% digital this season (woohoo!). See details here, including step-by-step instructions and a tutorial video, on this new digital game sheet format.

Download the RAMP Game Sheets app (it's different from the RAMP Team app). All team managers and scorekeepers are required to download the app and familiarize themselves with this new format prior to games (not at game time).

Bench & Floor Access 

As per GELC regulations, only Wizards registered Coaches and Team Managers are permitted on the bench or on the floor during games and practices. This is strictly enforced for insurance purposes. Thank you for your cooperation.

Mouthguards Required

With games fast approaching, please make sure all players have a properly fitted mouthguard ready to go. Mouthguards are mandatory for game play for all age divisions (except U7).

April Schedule Now Available

The April schedule has been released! Please take a moment to review it carefully.

If your family has players in multiple age divisions, now is a great time to connect with other parents and coordinate schedules to help ensure players can attend all practices and games. This is also a great opportunity for players and parents to build friendships across teams.

RAMP App Tips

SYNC SCHEDULE TO YOUR PHONE
To make things easier, you can sync your player’s schedule directly to your phone calendar through the RAMP app. On any screen, select the Settings icon (top-right icon), select Calendar Subscriptions, then add your player(s) to your calendar. Only Google Calendar and the iOS (Apple) Calendar are supported. Outlook is not supported. This helps keep everything in one place and ensures you never miss an update or game time.

COLOR CODING CALENDARS
If you have multiple players, we recommend customizing the dot color on the Calendar tab of the RAMP app, as it makes the overview easier to navigate. On the Calendar screen, select Calendar Settings (top-left icon), select Customize Dot Colors, click on the artist palette to pick your dot color.

NOTIFICATIONS TURNED ON
Please ensure your chat and event notifications are turned ON. This helps keep you informed so you never miss an update or message from your team. On any screen, select the Settings icon (top-right icon), select Account Settings, toggle on the Chat Notifications and Event Notifications, select SAVE.

Volunteer Commitments

Our club relies on volunteers, and we appreciate everyone’s support in making this season a success. If you have not yet been assigned or selected a team volunteer role, you will be contacted by a Board Member this month with other options available this season to fulfill your volunteer commitment to the Wizards Lacrosse Club (ie. Events).
