Our U7, U9, and U11 players are hitting the floor for their very first preseason practice! We’re so excited to welcome both new and returning families to the start of an awesome season.
For those who are brand new (and even for our returning families), here are a few simple tips to help make the first night a smooth and positive experience:
• Arrive a little early - This gives you time to find your space, meet a few people, and get settled without feeling rushed.
• Gear up before hitting the floor - Younger players may need a hand getting fully dressed, so having everything on and ready to go helps practice start on time.
• Indoor running shoes are a must - The floor can be slippery, so make sure your player has proper indoor shoes with good grip. This helps keep them safe and confident while they move.
• Water bottle = REQUIRED - Every player should bring a water bottle. A sports bottle with a long spout (easy to use with a helmet) works best, and you can find these for just a few dollars at most stores (ie. Walmart).
• Snack before practice - A quick snack beforehand can go a long way in keeping energy levels up and smiles on faces!
• Know what is your gear - Especially at the younger ages, equipment can look very similar. A name on gloves, helmets, and water bottles helps things find their way back home.
• Say hello! - Encourage your player (and yourself!) to introduce yourselves to the coach. We’re all about building a welcoming, supportive community.
Most importantly, don’t stress! Preseason is all about getting comfortable, meeting teammates, and having fun on the floor. There’s no pressure, just a great opportunity for kids to get moving and start building confidence.
With Spring Break and Easter coming up, we don't expect full teams at these preseason practices BUT we expect you to use the RAMP APP to keep the Coach informed. Please mark your availability for every practice.
We can’t wait to see everyone soon and kick off an amazing season together!
