If February’s Come-Try Lacrosse sessions were any indication, this season is shaping up to be an exciting one for our club. ??
Over three sessions in February, we welcomed 49 athletes to the floor, including 30 players who were brand new to lacrosse. Even better, many families came back for multiple sessions — a great sign that players were having fun, building confidence, and starting to fall in love with the game.
By the time we reached our final session, we had our largest turnout of the series, with 36 players participating in a single night.
What stood out most wasn’t just the numbers — it was the enthusiasm. Players were learning to scoop ground balls, pass with teammates, shoot on net, and most importantly, experience the fast-paced excitement that makes lacrosse so unique.
One of the biggest highlights from the Come-Try Lacrosse series was the turnout from our youngest divisions.
75% of participants came from the U7, U9, and U11 age groups, showing that interest in the game is growing quickly at the grassroots level.
These early years are where players build their skills, confidence, and friendships that often last for many seasons. We LOVE high-energy kids! This is THE sport to put them in!
Seeing so many young athletes trying lacrosse for the first time was incredibly encouraging.
