Chandra is a seasoned speaker, Olympic Gold Medalist and 3 x Olympian in Cross Country Skiing born and raised in Canmore, Alberta. She completed her MBA at the University of Calgary, founded a national charity called "Fast and Female" in 2005, and is a mother of 4.
With great vulnerability and humility, Chandra shares not only stories of her Olympic win in 2006, but also the lows of her life such as the loss of her younger brother to addictions and her own struggles with eating disorders. You'll laugh and cry with this big-hearted speaker. Chandra's purpose is to share her high-vibe energy and growth mindset to help people turn their challenges into opportunities.
The Saturday evening will be capped off with the ALA Awards Banquet featuring the awarding of the James McFall Award and Ekke Loo Award. These awards recognize service and commitment to the game of lacrosse in Alberta. We hope that many of you will attend to celebrate the recipients who reflect the highest ideals of our game.
The ALA Development Weekend is a great opportunity to meet others who are volunteering in lacrosse to share stories, experiences and learn from each other.
We hope to see many of you there!
